SPEED OF ERECTION Use of 4' on center joist spacing, reusable snap-in "roll-bars" and the reuse of plywood as the floor's forming bases permit erection of a complete floor in just one day! No shoring and early stripping of forms, usually the next day, without backshoring, allow other trades to proceed without delay. In a 3 or more story building trades can proceed 24 hours after the pour, with no shoring. Framing and Mechanical Inspections can be achieved on the next to top floor approximately the same day as topping out!!!
COST SAVINGS Requires less steel, less concrete and less labor and weighs approximately 40 PSF. By utilizing clear spans of up to 45 feet, interior bearing can be reduced or eliminated. Typically, Hambro is competitive with, or less expensive than, poured in place, precast plank or post-tension.
STRUCTURAL RIGIDITY Composite action between the joists and concrete make Hambro® more rigid than standard joists. Long clear spans to
45’ provide design flexibility.

UL FIRE RATED Hambro® carries a 1, 2, and 3- hour UL rating. All HVAC ducting, plumbing and electric is permitted in the ceiling plenum eliminating the need for drop ceilings. 1 hour, U.L. design G524 permit UNPROTECTED CEILING PENETRATIONS of up to 256 sq. in. per 100 sq. ft. of ceiling area, 1 ½” hours permits 196 sq. in. (2 hours permits 100 sq. in.)…eliminating the need for fire dampers or protection at ceiling openings.
